Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting that meets accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage budgets that support our organizational goals.
- Provide financial forecasts and analyses to inform decision-making.
- Team Management:
- Supervise and lead the accounting team, focusing on hiring, training, and performance management.
- Create a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve any control weaknesses.
- Tax Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Work with external tax advisors for effective tax planning and reporting.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Oversee cash flow by monitoring daily financial operations.
- Implement strategies to enhance cash positions and liquidity.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Audit Coordination:
- Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Address audit inquiries and ensure timely completion of audits.
- ERP System Management:
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Ensure the system is used effectively to streamline financial processes.
- Policy Development:
- Create and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred.
- 5-6 years of proven experience in accounting and financial management roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
