Responsibilities
As a Safety Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring work processes to identify unsafe practices and violations of safety regulations.
  • Conducting inspections of equipment to ensure proper installation and functionality.
  • Facilitating and scheduling repairs for any unsafe or damaged equipment.
  • Organizing safety training sessions to educate staff on essential safety principles.
  • Collaborating with the quality control department to ensure finished products are safe for customers.
  • Developing and implementing safety procedures and policies for production operations.
  • Investigating incidents to determine root causes of accidents or unsafe conditions.
  • Setting up and placing safety signs to alert employees to potential hazards.
  • Preparing and presenting regular safety operation reports to management.
  • Working with law enforcement and investigators in workplace accident cases.
  • Making recommendations on safety issues such as waste disposal, fire regulations, and noise control.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify high-risk areas.
  • Overseeing waste disposal methods to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Reviewing operational processes to align with safety regulations.
  • Attending seminars to enhance knowledge and skills in occupational safety and health.

Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or an associate degree, with certification in NEBOSH or IOSH.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in safety management.
