Job Opening: Valve Technician

Introduction:
We are looking for an experienced Valve Technician to join our team immediately. If you have at least 10 years of experience in the testing, repair, and calibration of control valves, we want to hear from you! This position is ideal for someone with a background in mechanical or instrumentation engineering, particularly in the oil and gas or petrochemical industries.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, test, repair, and calibrate control valves, regulators, and safety valves.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate smart and electro-pneumatic positioners.
• Use valve software and test benches effectively.
• Understand valve signatures and diagnostic graphs.
• Employ lapping methods and operate lapping machines.
• Utilize HART, Field Bus communicators, TREX Communicators, and loop calibrators.
• Assess necessary valve repairs and select appropriate repair techniques.
• Follow manufacturer procedures, valve testing standards, and ASME codes for control and safety valves.
• Disassemble and reassemble different types of actuators.
• Work in confined areas and at heights, with a willingness to be on call during off-hours.
• Work shifts in both shop and field environments.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical or Instrumentation, or a relevant technical trade certificate.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in valve testing, repair, and calibration, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
• Certified training from manufacturers for their products.
• Age limit: 45 years, with good physical fitness.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Positive safety attitude and teamwork skills.
