Responsibilities:
- Technical Drawing and Detailing:
- Create precise interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and sections, using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
- Ensure all drawings accurately reflect the design intent with proper dimensions and proportions.
- Materials and Finishes:
- Specify and detail materials and finishes, such as wall treatments and flooring designs.
- Ensure that material choices meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Code Compliance:
- Stay updated on building codes and regulations to guarantee designs meet safety and accessibility standards.
- Incorporate necessary compliant elements into your drawings.
- Collaboration:
- Work with interior designers, architects, and project team members to turn design ideas into technical drawings.
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to clarify design details and solve construction-related issues.
- Project Documentation:
- Keep organized and current project documentation, including design revisions and specifications.
- Create and manage drawing sets for construction and permit submissions.
- 3D Modeling:
- Create 3D models to visualize design concepts and identify potential issues.
- Quality Assurance:
- Review and check drawings for accuracy and completeness to ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD or Revit); please mention this in your CV.
- Strong technical drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with 3D modeling software is a plus.
- Familiarity with design software (like SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite) is desirable.
